  1. Why the rules need documenting

Before customer records move to Stripe, billing and engineering need clear rules for handling incomplete information and account restrictions.

  2. What Young Copy built

Young Copy built this original project to connect those decisions with the documentation developers need.

  3. Read the source records

Six sample records arrive with an incomplete email, unclear payment terms, and an account hold.

  4. Document an email correction

An incomplete billing email gets a correction and a recorded reason.

  5. Decide the hold treatment

A held account can wait, or carry a written instruction to keep invoice preparation on hold.

  6. Read the exception procedure

The handbook states both treatments and what each one leaves in the handoff.

  7. Retain decisions in the handoff

Every decision carries a reviewer and a reason into one JSON handoff.

  8. Inspect the field contract

A mapping contract names the destination for every source field, and the rule that governs the conversion.

  9. Plan the future integration

The implementation plan covers returned customer identifiers, reconciliation, and an enforceable release check. Future work, not finished automation.

  10. Explore the deliverables

The deliverables: a customer-preparation workspace, an operator handbook, developer field references, and a structured implementation handoff. Explore the project, then start a conversation at youngcopy.com.
