Writing Process

Writing Process

Young Copy has an established, proven method for generating writing projects that deliver results. With years of experience and dozens of successful projects completed, Young Copy has created a process to meet your needs and produce results.

  1. Research – In the research phase, Dave asks a lot of questions. In most cases, several rounds of questions will be asked in order to develop the in-depth knowledge needed to write a successful project. Examples of other projects, marketing materials, previous work, notes, and presentations are gathered.
  2. Organize – Organization is crucial to developing a winning project. Once the research in step 1 has been completed, Dave organizes all the information collected into a linear timeline to establish the thought process required to get your readers to take action.
  3. Write – When the research and organization aspects are completed, writing begins. Backed by solid notes and construction of a linear information timeline, your project comes to life. Call-to-Action concepts are implemented, shape and style are added, and a series of checks and balances are done to ensure the writing flows properly.
  4. Proof – Young Copy proofreads over the project carefully while viewing the research and collected materials. In some cases, the proofed project will be revised several times until the writing fits the exact form it should have prior to being sent to the client.
  5. Send to Client – The writing project is sent to the client as a draft for feedback and collaborative notes. In most cases, projects go through a one or two cycle revision before they are complete and ready for distribution.
