Success Story: R1Soft
Continuous server backup software provider R1Soft hired Young Copy to build their documentation from scratch.
R1Soft is a leading server backup solution. They came to Young Copy way back in the beginning when they had no documentation in place. Their sales, marketing, and developers were spending time answering support calls instead of focusing on growing the business. After editing an article on R1Soft’s products and what makes them unique, they hired us to build their documentation from the ground up.
We started with Word and PDFs and then moved to RoboHelp. With RoboHelp we developed searchable, web based documentation, along with downloadable PDFs. As R1Soft continued to grow rapidly, we deployed multiple technical writers and moved to Confluence, a faster, web based, commercial grade wiki system. With Confluence in place, documentation was developed in real-time, and we met every new release date.
As a result of moving to Confluence, search engines crawled the documentation and generated thousands of visitors to R1Soft who were looking for solutions and answers related to server backup solutions. In turn, R1Soft continued to acquire more customers including a major Japanese service provider that needed both English and Japanese versions of the documentation.
Young Copy translated 100% of the English documentation to Japanese. Both R1Soft and their Japanese customer were happy with the results.
