Article Published on 1&1’s New Data Center in Lenexa, Kansas
On Tuesday, October 26, 3008, I published a post on my interview with 1&1’s CEO, Oliver Mauss. Today’s post is on an article I wrote describing 1&1’s new data center in Lenexa, Kansas, featured exclusively on Gawkwire. If you read my previous post on 1&1, you already know that 1&1 is 7 million customers strong. That said, their new data center in Lenexa, Kansas, a tornado hotspot, is their first data center in the USA. Based in Germany, 1&1 is dominating new markets across the globe. As I was writing the article, I learned the company offers some new advanced technology in data center design. But the most interesting aspect is how they turned a warehouse into a tornado proof state-of-the-art data center facility that holds 40,000 servers.

Eleven2’s Fantastic Website
First note that I am not a web designer, but having worked with some of the best web and graphic designers in the world, I know a great looking (and functional) website when I see one. I tried to design a few websites between 1997-1999. Okay, I tried to design more than a few over a two year period, but never went beyond the basics. So over the last decade, instead of trying to be a web designer, I’ve spent my time focusing on what an aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly, sales-driven website should look like. Now on to the point of this post. As a former employee of ModernBill, I worked with or was introduced to thousands of web hosting companies. One in particular stood out.

Advanced Searchbar Tool Review
A few days ago I wrote a review on Advanced Searchbar, a free program that integrates directly into your browser. The review is posted at Practical eCommerce Magazine and details some of the unique features the tool offers for Internet users who want to organize their browsing experience. People using FireFox may have to wait for the plug-in, but take a look at Advanced Searchbar’s features. It may be worth using Internet Explorer until the free FireFox plug-in is ready. So what makes this free tool special?
